The Farm

 

Our enterprise springs from the combination of two desires: the first one is to live a healthy life, in harmony with nature, where is possible to find the space and time to appreciate and revive the values of tradition, to experiment new things both in kitchen and in our everyday lives.

The second one is to share these experiences with anybody who would like to sit in our porch with nice food, nice wine and good company.

We decided, then, to invest all our time and resources to build this reality to host these “travellers” looking for a place to relax.

The building resides on the top of a small hill from where is possible to enjoy the view of both the Trasimeno lake on one side and the historic town of Città della Pieve on the other. It is situated on trekking path that can be enjoyed on a bike, a horse or just walking.

Nestled in the heart of the white truffle area of Umbria the land, that has been abandoned for years, was rehabilitated with the idea of preserving the natural growth: where wild cherries and apples grew we kept the natural disposition of the soil planting more fruit trees; the area with more water and less slanted is now the house of our vegetables garden and where we found trees that produces truffles we dedicated that area to that production.

Instead of adapting the land to our needs we adapted ourselves to the natural disposition of our land.
